Networking at UNBOUND: How to Connect Like a Pro

Networking at UNBOUND: How to Connect Like a Pro

Networking is one of the most valuable parts of the UNBOUND experience. From dedicated networking spaces and Braindates to Meetups and quick connections with Klik, UNBOUND gives you plenty of ways to meet peers, exchange ideas, and build relationships throughout the event.

Whether you’re attending solo or with a team, here’s how to make the most of networking at UNBOUND 2026.

Why Networking is Where the Magic Happens

At its core, INBOUND is about people. While the sessions will inspire you, the real magic often happens in the moments between. Whether you're on the hunt for a strategic partner or looking for authentic peer connections, UNBOUND sets the stage for relationships that last beyond the event.

What’s New in 2026: More Ways to Find Community

New for 2026, the Boundless Experience is designed to make it easier to move between learning, connecting, exploring, and putting ideas into action throughout UNBOUND. And connection is baked right into it.

Boundless Connections brings many of those touchpoints together to help you meet people around shared roles, industries, interests, and communities. That includes familiar networking opportunities like Braindates and Meetups, alongside a new addition for 2026: The Exchanges.

The Exchanges are dedicated, always-on spaces where you can drop in and connect throughout the event:

The Sync: Find peers who share your role and compare notes and ideas with people tackling similar challenges.

The Sector: Spend time with professionals from your industry and connect swap perspectives on the trends, opportunities, and questions related to your field.

The Sync: Connect with identity-based communities in a dedicated space centered around belonging and shared experiences.

Alongside Braindates, Meetups, HubSpot User Groups, and other programming, The Exchanges give you another way to turn time at UNBOUND into relationships that last beyond it.

Networking Before, During, and After UNBOUND

UNBOUND may take place over three days, but you don’t have to wait until you arrive in Boston to get started. Plus, the momentum doesn’t have to stop when you head home.

Get set up in the UNBOUND mobile app.
Then, head to Networking to browse fellow attendees. Recommendations are based on tags, helping surface individuals with relevant interests. You can also browse Meetups and access Braindate through the app, so take a look before the event and start filling out your plans.

Book a Braindate before you arrive.
Browse topics or create your own, then book a 1:1, Group, or Super Group Braindate around something you want to discuss at UNBOUND.

Save your seat at a Meetup.
See a Meetup that speaks to your role, interests, or something you’re working through? Browse your options in the agenda and save a seat ahead of time so you’ll have a few focused discussions built into your schedule.

Founders: Find Startup Connections
Have a founder (or type of founder) you’d love to cross paths with at UNBOUND? Complete this form and the HubSpot for Startups team will review your responses and help make the right introductions. Note: submitting the form does not guarantee an invitation or introduction.

MEETUPS: YOUR FAST TRACK TO MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS

Looking to meet peers in similar roles or industries? Meetups are designed for just that: bringing together groups around common topics, challenges, or opportunities.

They are ideal for connecting with others navigating similar paths. Whether you’re scaling a startup, diving into AI, or leading a customer team, there's a Meetup for you.

Pro tip: Pick Meetups that match your goals and interests and don’t be shy. Sometimes the best connections come from stepping out of your comfort zone. Be ready to engage, ask questions, and contribute to the conversation.

During: Make Your Onsite Time Count

Once you’re at the MCEC, put those plans into action while leaving room for the unexpected.

Drop into The Exchanges.
Head to The Sync, The Sector, and The Spot to find peers around common roles, industries, and identities. These always-on spaces make it easy to stop by whenever you have an opening in your agenda, whether you have a specific discussion in mind or just want to see who’s there.

Attend your Braindate (and join more).
Join the Braindates you booked ahead of time, then keep an eye out for additional topics that catch your interest onsite. Swap expertise, get a fresh take on a challenge, or dig deeper into something you’ve been thinking about.

Head to your Meetup. You saved your seat and now it’s time to  join the discussion. Meetups give you a focused setting to talk shop around a particular topic or interest with others who came ready to do the same.

Find your HubSpot community.
HubSpot User Groups will gather within The Exchanges, bringing members together face-to-face to trade ideas, learn from one another, and strengthen relationships that often begin online.

Tap in with Klik.
Had a conversation you want to keep going? Tap your Klik badges together to instantly exchange contact details. Their digital contact card will automatically appear in the Klik section of the UNBOUND mobile app, where you can start a 1:1 chat and jot down notes for later.

And don’t overlook the unscheduled moment: breaks, meals, lounges, lines, and the minutes before and after sessions can be just as useful as what’s on your calendar. Leave a little room to see where they take you.

After: Keep a Good Thing Going

UNBOUND may be over, but the conversations you started don’t have to be.

Revisit your Klik exchanges.
Open the Klik section of the app to refresh your memory on who you spoke with and revisit any notes you saved. You can also download your complete list of exchanges, making it easy to pick up where you left off.

Follow up while it’s fresh.
Skip the generic “great meeting you” note with those new UNBOUND contacts you made. Reference something you talked about, send the resource you promised, or share an idea that came to mind afterward.

Share what stuck with you.
Post your biggest UNBOUND takeaways on social and keep the dialogue going with fellow attendees. Tag the people who shaped your thinking, add your perspective, and see where the discussion goes next.
